We welcome members of our own Dallas Symphony as they present one of the most beloved masterpieces of the repertoire, Dvorak’s American String Quartet. Written when Dvorak was living in the United States, the music is full of unforgettable melodies, ranging from African American Spirituals to Slavic dances, which connected Dvorak to his native land. Eugenia Zukerman is unique in the music world. A soloist, consummate chamber musician, novelist, television reporter, educator – the list is too long to do her career justice. She is an ambassador of music, who comes to us with pianist Anton Nel, of University of Texas/Austin and our own Gary Levinson performing music of Bartok, CPE Bach, on the 300th anniversary of his birth and many other nuggets sure to wow and delight. A huge coup for BCMS, we are just delighted to have these three artists collaborating for the first time, although Zukerman and Levinson have toured as a flute trio with another artist. There will be electricity in the air, be there!

Andres Cárdenés returns!

Grammy Artist Andres Cardenes is a legend in his own time. While he is equally at home as soloist, conductor and concertmaster, his performance at the premiere Schulze salon concert caused a sensation we have not experienced in many years. St. Saëns Violin and Piano sonata, a work so daunting it seldom gets live performances got a spontaneous ovation that lasted ten minutes. After receiving multiple requests to attend the concert and not able to accommodate all our patrons due to the very limited seating, we are delighted to have Maestro Cardenes return to us this season with a powerful, compelling program that will include Kreisler and exponents of the Franco-Belgian school that has been his calling card.
Please join us and reserve early!

Alessandro Deljivan is a unique artist whose communication is part of his entire being. An Italian pianist in the grand tradition of Busoni and Michelangeli, his musicianship is breathtakingly unique, probing and always memorable. He will play the phenomenal Steinway which was chosen for this sort of a recital just last year. Be there and reserve early.
